Feed a Hero Mission

FeedAHero is a 501c3 that honors our first responders for responding to the call for help 365 days a year.  We will always answer the call for them regardless of the day, the time, or the circumstances because we have their six.  On Christmas Day, we have our most widespread impact by delivering hope and a fantastic meal.   Although there is a sense of duty, it is a privilege and an honor to do that.

  • 2014 – 50 police and fire served
  • 2015 – 120 police and fire served
  • 2016 – 450 police and fire served
  • 2017 – 1520 police and fire served
  • 2018 – 4,830 police and fire served
  • 2019 – Planning to feed 6,000 police and fire
  • 2020 – The sky is the limit

While most of us are home enjoying the holidays with our families, Police Officers and Fire Fighters are out there working, even on Christmas. They do this to ensure that the public is kept safe and that help is on the way during an emergency. Feed-A-Hero provides first responders an opportunity to enjoy a little of the holiday spirit while away from their families. The generous efforts of Feed-A-Hero are greatly appreciated.

Countryside Montessori is thrilled to contribute to Feed-A-Hero! Our students are proud and excited to be helping the helpers. This makes helping others a concrete activity that they can participate in teaching that small acts of kindness keep growing to help others and to spread joy.
